Agricultural land preservation — See Ch. 137.
A.
Whereas a substantial proportion of the farm operators or owners
in York County, Pennsylvania, have presented their petitions to the
Board of County Commissioners of York County for the purpose of requesting
that York County be declared a conservation district, as provided
for by the Act of General Assembly No. 217, known as the "Soil Conservation
Law of 1945";[1] and

B.
Whereas the Board of County Commissioners of York County, Pennsylvania,
has determined that the conservation of soil resources and control
and prevention of soil erosion are problems of public concern in this
county and that a substantial portion of the rural landowners favor
this project.
The Commissioners of York County, in regular session assembled
this 16th day of March 1948, do hereby declare York County, Pennsylvania,
to be a conservation district.
