It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a pool hall, including keepers of billiard, pool, or sippio tables, or a bowling alley without first obtaining a license granted by the Mayor and City Council.
The fee for each licensee granted under this article shall be as set forth in Chapter 174, Fees, and shall be paid to the City Clerk when application is made therefor.

The license issued under the provisions of this article shall be for a term of one year from the first of May, unless sooner revoked.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall forfeit the license issued under this article.
