There is hereby created the office of Deputy
Clerk of the Borough.
The salary of the Deputy Clerk shall be fixed
by the Mayor and Borough Council.
The duties of the Deputy Clerk of the Borough
shall be to act as Borough Clerk in all capacities in the event of
the incapacity or absence of the Borough Clerk. In the event of death
or resignation or other incapacity of the Borough Clerk, the Deputy
Clerk shall act in the capacity of Borough Clerk until such time as
a successor to the Borough Clerk is duly appointed and confirmed by
the Mayor and Borough Council.
