There is hereby established a paid Bureau of Fire for the city which shall consist of a Fire Chief and such other officers and members whose grades and compensation shall be established by Council. All appointments to the paid Bureau of Fire shall be in accordance with Article XLIV (Civil Service) of the Third Class City Code.[1]
