This chapter shall be titled "Noise Abatement."
The purpose of this chapter is to prohibit excessive
or unusual noise generated by persons on the Menominee Indian Reservation.

Editor's Note: Former § 429-3, General prohibition,
and former § 429-4, Public address systems, car stereos,
stereos and amplifiers, were repealed 9-3-2015 by Ord. No. 14-30.
Except for permitted contractors, independent
contractors, and employees of the Tribe and Menominee Tribal Enterprises
acting in their official capacity, no person shall do construction
work or operate any chain saw, lawn mower or any other loud machinery
between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Any violation of this chapter shall result in
a forfeiture of $50 for a first offense and a forfeiture not less
than $50 nor more than $100 for a second and subsequent offense.
