Administration of government — See Ch. 4.
There shall hereby be created a Senior Citizen Advisory Council. The composition and duties of the Senior Citizen Advisory Council shall be as follows:
A. 
The Advisory Council will serve to advise the Haverford Township Board of Commissioners on matters of policy that impact on the senior citizen community in the township. The Council will gather input from the community on issues of concern to senior citizens. The Council will make periodic reports and recommendations to the Board of Commissioners. It is anticipated that the Advisory Council will hold public meetings at least once a year to gather the views of the community.
B. 
The Advisory Council will be composed of nine members appointed by ward by the Commissioner of the ward. The term of an Advisory Council member shall be two years, except that the term of every member shall expire simultaneously every two years beginning on December 31, 2024. The Advisory Council will adopt a formal meeting schedule for the following year at its final meeting of the current year but shall meet a minimum of six times in a year.
