§ 161-1Permit required.
§ 161-2Penalties for offenses.
The distributing and peddling of commercial advertising matter in or on the public streets and public places within the village, and in or to any motor or other vehicle or to the occupants of such vehicle in the village, and by going from house to house within the village, and the throwing of such matter upon the public streets and public places of the village, is hereby prohibited, unless permit therefor is obtained in writing from the Board of Trustees, with the corporate seal of the village attached to such permit, and such permit shall be valid for only 30 days from the date of its issue.
Any person committing an offense against any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation, punishable as provided in Article III, General Penalty, of Chapter 1 of the Code of the Village of Monticello.
§ 161-3Posting prohibited.
§ 161-4Penalties for offenses.
No person or persons shall placard any show bill, posters or any printed or written notice or notices or advertisements of any kind whatsoever, or attach anything whatsoever of such character, to any tree, pump, hydrant, telegraph, telephone or electric pole within the Village of Monticello.
