A. 
Any person committing an offense against any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable as provided in Article III, General Penalty, of Chapter 1 of the Code of the Village of Monticello, except that the following violations of this chapter shall be punishable as follows:

Prohibited parking: $25.
(2) 
Overtime parking:
(a) 
First offense: $25.
(b) 
Second offense: $35.
(c) 
Third offense and subsequent offenses: $50.
(3) 
Parking in a fire zone: $50.
(4) 
Overnight parking: $25.
(5) 
Handicapped/fire zone: $50.
(6) 
Double parking: $25.
B. 
Failure to pay the fine hereinabove prescribed within seven days after the issuance of a summons or citation for a violation of the provisions of this chapter shall subject the violator, upon conviction, to a fine in an amount equal to twice the fine prescribed above.
