There is hereby established a Traffic Commission. The members of the Commission shall consist of the Village Manager, the Police Chief, the Fire Chief, the Street Superintendent, the Village Code Enforcement Officer and the Village Attorney. The Village Manager shall be the Chairman of the Commission.
All matters pertaining to the erection of any and all street signs, traffic control devices, street markings, designations of one-way and through streets, parking areas on streets, closing of streets, speed and load restrictions and any other regulation regarding the use of a street or streets shall first be referred to the Traffic Commission for its recommendation.
The Traffic Commission shall render its report or recommendation regarding the referred matter to the Board of Trustees within sixty (60) days of the referral to it. Otherwise, the Board of Trustees may proceed on the matter without a report of the Commissioners' recommendation. The Board of Trustees may extend the period for submission of the Commission's recommendation not more than two (2) more sixty-day periods.
