[Adopted 9-25-1963 by Ord. No. 21(a)]
From this date on, all taps and connections made to the public sewer system shall be made by authorized licensed plumbers. All taps are to be made as directed by the Plumbing Inspector.
[Amended 10-8-2009]
No excavations for sewers can be made with intention of connecting to the Village sewer without first obtaining a permit for sewer services from the Village Clerk-Treasurer. Fee for said permit shall be $5.
[Amended 10-8-2009]
Any person violating the provisions of this article shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, § 1-4, General penalty, of this Code.
All contractors and plumbers operating in the Village of Superior shall be bonded for the purpose of holding the Village harmless from any damage whatsoever.
By reason of the fact that permanent damage can be done to the public sewer system by improper tapping procedures using unskilled and untrained personnel, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this article being necessary for the preservation of public well-being, health and safety shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
