The Town of Caledonia is authorized to license the conduct of games
of chance within the Town of Caledonia and outside of the corporate limits
of the Village of Caledonia. Such licensing is authorized under Article 9-A
of the General Municipal Law. The purpose of this chapter is to allow the
Town of Caledonia to issue licenses within the Village of Caledonia.
As long as the Town of Caledonia is authorized to issue licenses for
the conduct of games of chance under a local law or ordinance adopted by the
Town of Caledonia pursuant to the provisions of the General Municipal Law
as it now exists or is hereinafter amended, the Town of Caledonia is further
authorized hereby to issue licenses for the conduct of games of chance within
the corporate limits of the Village of Caledonia, and its local law or ordinance
shall be operative within the Village of Caledonia.
