[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town of Ridgefield 6-5-1974 as §§ 2-2 to 2-5 of the 1974 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]

The hours for voting on a referendum held pursuant to C.G.S. § 7-7 shall begin no earlier than 6:00 a.m. and end no later than 8:00 p.m. and will be set upon approval of the Annual or Special Town Meeting.

A. 
There are hereby established and/or confirmed for elections and primaries involving state and/or federal offices, four polling districts designated as Polling District No. 1, Polling District No. 2, Polling District No. 3 and Polling District No. 4.
B. 
For the Town of Ridgefield municipal elections there are hereby established and/or confirmed three polling districts designated as Polling District No. 1, Polling District No. 2, and Polling District No. 3.
C. 
Registered voters shall vote in the district in which they reside. The boundaries of said districts shall be delineated and defined on a map on file with the Town Clerk. The Registrar of Voters pursuant to law will identify specific polling places.

The election polls in the Town shall remain open for voting from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at all regular and special municipal elections.

The Board of Admissions of Electors for the Town is authorized to hold such additional sessions for admission of electors pursuant to state law.
