[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town of Ridgefield 7-31-1974 (§ 1-9 of the 1974 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
Notwithstanding any provision of the General Statutes to the contrary, all of the territory, assets, liabilities, rights, obligations, contracts, powers and authority of the Village District of Ridgefield as established by Number 246 of the Special Acts of 1921, as amended by Number 12 of the Special Acts of 1935, as amended by Number 404 of the Special Acts of 1937, shall be transferred to and vested in the Town of Ridgefield.
A. 
All boards and commissions established by Number 246 of the Special Acts of 1921 are hereby continued as boards and commissions of the Town of Ridgefield, except that the minority representation of said boards and commissions of the Town of Ridgefield shall be governed by the Connecticut General Statutes.
B. 
All duties and powers of any boards and commissions of the Village of Ridgefield shall be transferred to and vested in the correlative boards and commissions of the Town of Ridgefield.
All ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations duly adopted by the Village District of Ridgefield or any of its boards and commissions shall remain in effect within the boundaries of said Village District as established by Section 4 of Number 246 of the Special Acts of 1935, as amended by Number 404 of the Special Acts of 1937, and shall be enforceable by said Town of Ridgefield or its boards or commissions.
