In order to address public safety, health and
welfare conditions as they relate to the use of public sidewalks and
public areas of the Town, and pursuant to authority granted in C.G.S.
§ 7-148(c)(7)(H)(xii), it is herewith ordained as follows:
A.
No person shall skateboard in any public area or on
any public sidewalk within areas zoned CBD, B1 or B3.
B.
No person shall roller-skate, street skate, in-line
skate or operate and/or ride a skateboard or bicycle on any public
sidewalk or in any public area of the Town in a reckless manner with
disregard for the safety of other persons using said public sidewalk
or public area.
C.
Any person violating this section shall be subject
to a fine of $25 dollars per offense.
