No person shall, without written consent from the Board of Trustees, remove or destroy any tree that is planted or growing in or near any public sidewalk, street or other public place or between any sidewalk and the street.[1]

Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine of not more than $250 or imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
