There is hereby created by East Stroudsburg
Borough Council an office of the municipality to be known as the ""Office
of Code Enforcement." Said office shall have the responsibility for
administering and enforcing the provisions of this chapter and of
those other codes and/or ordinances of the municipality as designated.
There shall be appointed by Borough Council
a Code Enforcement Officer, who shall be in charge of the Office of
Code Enforcement for the Borough. The Code Enforcement Officer shall
supervise such other employees or assistants as shall be necessary
for the administration and execution of the responsibilities of said
office, as appointed and approved by Borough Council. Any such Code
Enforcement Officer shall be deemed to have all the duties and powers
provided in this chapter and in the applicable codes and ordinances
of the Borough and shall represent the Borough to the same extent
as if appointed directly by the municipality. The Code Enforcement
Officer is the Building Code Official as provided for in the various
codes adopted by the Borough.
