This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Westtown
Township Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance."
The purpose of this chapter is to assure sites suitable for
building purposes and human habitation, to provide for the harmonious
development of the Township of Westtown and to provide for adequate
open spaces, smooth flow of traffic, light and air, and for the proper
distribution of population, thereby creating conditions favorable
to the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of Westtown
Township.
This chapter is adopted to promote an orderly plan of development in accordance with the Westtown Township Comprehensive Plan and Chapter 170, Zoning.
From and after the effective date of this chapter, any subdivision
and/or land development shall be in conformity with this chapter and
all standards and specifications adopted as a part of such chapter.
The provisions of this chapter shall be held to be the minimum
requirements to meet the above-stated purposes. Where the provisions
of this chapter impose greater restrictions than those of any statute,
other ordinance or regulations, the provisions of this chapter shall
prevail. Where the provisions of any statute, other ordinance or regulations
impose greater restrictions than those of this chapter, the provisions
of such statute, ordinance or regulation shall prevail.
