It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a motorcycle, minibike, trail bike, motor bike, snowmobile or similar type motor vehicle on the sidewalks, footpaths, parks or other property of the township, or upon the property belonging to a person other than the operator of such vehicle unless the operation of such vehicle is with the express written permission of the owner of such property.
It shall be unlawful to operate a motorcycle, minibike, trail bike, motor bike, snowmobile or other similar type motor vehicle in such a manner or at such time or times of the day as to cause an unreasonable annoyance and disturbance of the peace of the township and the citizens thereof.
Any person who violates or permits a violation of this chapter shall, upon being found liable therefor in a civil enforcement proceeding commenced by the township before a District Justice, pay a fine of not more than $600, plus all court costs, including reasonable attorney's fees, incurred by the township in the enforcement of this chapter. No judgment shall be imposed until the date of the determination of the violation by the District Justice. If the defendant neither pays nor timely appeals the judgment, the township may enforce the judgment pursuant to the applicable Rules of Civil Procedure. Each day a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense. Further, the appropriate officers or agents of the township are hereby authorized to seek equitable relief, including injunction, to enforce compliance herewith.
In the event of a violation of this chapter, any police officer may take into custody the vehicle of the person so found in violation to prevent such further violation. Any vehicle so taken into custody may be redeemed by the owner upon the payment of a sum as set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors on account of handling and storage charge of such vehicle.
