It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, as defined in § 476 of Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law, upon obtaining the required license, to conduct the game of bingo within the territorial limits of the Town of Chili, subject to the provisions of this chapter, Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law and Article 19-B of the Executive Law, and any amendments thereto, and the following restrictions.
The conduct of bingo in the Town shall be subject to the requirements of § 479 of the General Municipal Law.
The game of bingo conducted within the Town pursuant to a license issued in accordance with this chapter and the applicable statutes may not be operated by authorized organizations on the first day of the week, commonly known as "Sunday."
The unauthorized conduct of a bingo game and any willful violation of any provision of this chapter shall constitute and be punishable as a misdemeanor.
The provisions of Article 14-H and this chapter shall remain inoperative in the Town of Chili unless and until a proposition therefor is submitted at a special election to be held in the Town of Chili on June 14, 1958, and shall be approved by a vote of the majority of the qualified electors in the Town of Chili voting thereon. So approved by a majority of qualified electors at the special election held June 14, 1958; therefore, this chapter shall take effect immediately.
