No person shall fire or discharge any gun, pistol or other firearm within the limits of the Borough of Dunellen; provided, however, that this section shall not apply to the use of such weapons at any military exercise or review or target practice duly authorized by the authority of the State of New Jersey or by the Mayor or Council or in the lawful defense of the person, family or property of any citizen.
No person, other than a police officer or one having a permit from the Mayor, shall carry within the limits of the Borough of Dunellen, concealed about his person, any pistol, dirk, butcher or bowie knife, stiletto, dagger, sword, spear, sword cane, brass or metal knuckles, razor, slingshot or other deadly weapon whatsoever.
Every person convicted of violating any section of this chapter shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $500 or by imprisonment in the Borough lockup or county jail for a term not exceeding 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, at the discretion of the court.
