[Adopted as Ch. 73 of the 1975 Code]
A. 
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PERSON
Includes any natural person, association, partnership, firm or corporation.
REFUSE
Includes any rubbish, garbage, ashes or any other material.
B. 
Word usage. In this article, the singular shall include the plural, and the masculine shall include the feminine and the neuter.

No person shall dump any refuse on land owned by the Borough of Lehighton without authorization from the Borough Manager.
The Borough Manager shall not issue any permit under this article until the applicant therefor shall have paid to him such fees as shall be prescribed, from time to time, by resolution of the Borough Council.

Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof before any District Justice, be subject to a fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 30 days.
