Borough of Northvale, NJ Article III Deputy Borough Clerk

§ 37-9 Establishment of position.

There is hereby created in and for the Borough of Northvale the position of Deputy Borough Clerk.

§ 37-10 Term of office; vacancies.

The term of office of the Deputy Borough Clerk shall be for one year. The term shall run from January 1 in the year in which the individual is appointed. All vacancies in the office of Deputy Borough Clerk shall be filled for the unexpired term only.

§ 37-11 Compensation.

The Deputy Borough Clerk shall be paid such salary or compensation as shall be set forth by the Mayor and Council in its annual salary ordinance.[1]

§ 37-12 Appointment.

The Deputy Borough Clerk shall be appointed through nomination of the Mayor with the confirmation of a majority of the members of the Council.

§ 37-13 Powers and duties.

The Deputy Borough Clerk shall have all the powers of the Borough Clerk and shall perform the functions and duties of such office at the direction of the Borough Clerk.
