The owner or occupant of any frame or partially framed structure now erected or which shall hereafter be erected in the village shall provide at least one duly approved, adequate and practical fire extinguisher on and for each story or floor of said structure, whether a residence or garage, and, in addition thereto, one such fire extinguisher for the part of such structure used as a kitchen or for the cooking or preparation of food.[1]

No fire shall be started or lit on any beach within the village limits except under the constant supervision of a person of the age of discretion until the same has burned out or extinguished and unless there is then blowing an offshore wind.
The owner or occupant of any building in the village shall have and keep available at least one long-handled shovel and one broom to be used in extinguishing any fire which may occur on the grounds so owned or occupied or in the vicinity.
