As used in this Article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
A person employed by a municipality on a full-time basis
averaging at least 35 hours per week paid by an hourly wage, daily
wage or a weekly, monthly or annual salary. The term "employee" shall
not include any person employed by a municipality as a full-time policeman,
policewoman or paid fireman.
A full-time, nonelective officer, excluding full-time police
and firemen.
From and after March 1, 1971, inclusive, all
full-time borough officers and/or full-time borough employees are
and the same shall be, upon reaching or having reached the age of
65 years, automatically retired and removed from the borough employment
rolls.[1]
