A. 
A driver of a vehicle may not turn the vehicle so as to proceed in the opposite direction unless the movement can be made safely and without interfering with other traffic.
B. 
No U-turn can be made on any curve or on the approach to or near the crest of a grade where the vehicle cannot be seen by the driver of any other vehicle approaching from either direction within 500 feet.

The left-hand lane (that is, the westernmost lane) of Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard shall be utilized by vehicles traveling north on Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard only for the purposes of preparing to execute and executing a left turn, and it shall be unlawful to otherwise utilize said left lane for the purpose of thoroughfare on Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard. Any person who violates this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25, plus costs.
A. 
The following highways are established as through highways, thus authorizing stop or yield signs to be erected facing traffic approaching every intersection with the through highway, except for those intersections with traffic signals or with exceptions or modifications as indicated below. Every driver of a vehicle approaching a stop or yield sign authorized by this section shall stop the vehicle or yield right-of-way as required by Section 3323 (b) or (c) of the Vehicle Code,[1] as the case may be, and shall not proceed into or across the through highway until he/she has followed all applicable requirements of that section of the law.

Every driver of a vehicle approaching the intersection on the first-named or yield street, in the direction indicated in each case shall slow down or stop the vehicle as required by Section 3323(c) of the Vehicle Code,[1] and then yield the right-of-way as required by that subsection of the Vehicle Code.

B. 
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine in accordance with the Pennsylvania State Motor Vehicle Law, minimum $25, plus costs.
A. 
The Mayor is authorized to designate as play highways, whenever he/she deems that action advisable and for whatever period of time directed by him/her, any part of any street in the borough where sledding and coasting shall be permitted. That play highway shall be set apart for the purpose under the direction of the Mayor.
B. 
No person shall drive any motor vehicle upon any play highway at any time when that street shall be designated as a play highway, except in case of emergency and with special permission of the Mayor or of the police officer in charge, who shall first clear that play highway of all persons using it for the purpose for which it was set aside. Any person who violates any provision of this subsection shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine in accordance with the Pennsylvania State Motor Vehicle Law,[1] minimum $25, plus costs.

C. 
Temporary signs shall be erected at the specified streets, along with barricades.
A. 
No streets in the Borough of Lehighton are designated as special snowmobile roads.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a snowmobile on any highway, street or road in the borough.
C.

A. 
For the purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PUSHCART
A vehicle propelled solely by human power or towed by a motor vehicle and used or intended for use for the display, transport, exhibit or sale of goods, wares or merchandise.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to propel a pushcart upon any street or sidewalk in any business district except as necessary to move the pushcart to a location from which it is to be loaded or unloaded or from which goods, wares or merchandise are to be sold or dispensed under the permit from the Mayor as provided in Subsection C of this section.

C. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to push a pushcart upon any street or sidewalk except for the purpose of selling or dispensing from that pushcart goods, wares or merchandise to passersby under permit from the Mayor. Every such permit shall be issued to the person making application for the permit upon payment of a fee (which fee may be amended from time to time by resolution of Borough Council), which shall be for the use of the Borough, of $300 for any calendar month, $100 for any one-week period or $75 per day. The permit shall be granted to the applicant upon payment of the fee, presentation of a photo identification, signature for each person working under the permit and upon his signing an agreement with the Mayor that he shall be bound by the conditions imposed by the Mayor and made a part of the permit, dealing with the following matters.

(1) 
Restricting or limiting the parking of the pushcart or stand to one or more stated locations upon the sidewalk and to stated days and hours at each location.
(2) 
Stating requirements to be adhered to in connection with the disposal of garbage and refuse resulting from the operations carried on.
(3) 
Requiring that there be no violation of any law, ordinance or regulation pertaining to health, sanitation and the handling of food or drink.
D. 
Any person who violates any provision of this section or any condition of any permit granted under this section shall be guilty of a summary offense and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs or in accordance with Pennsylvania law.

A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to ride on a sled upon any sidewalk in the borough or upon any roadway unless that roadway is on a portion of a street blocked off for sledding by authority of § 215-5A of Article I or of § 213-18B of Article II of this chapter, provided that nothing in this subsection shall prevent a pedestrian from pulling a sled, with or without a rider, upon a sidewalk.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person, except for any Lehighton Borough police officer, including the Chief of Police, engaged in bicycle patrol while on duty, to engage in bicycling, roller-skating or skateboarding or to ride upon or propel any coaster or other toy vehicle upon any street or sidewalk located in a business district, specifically including:

C. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in roller-skating or skateboarding or to ride upon or propel any coaster or other toy vehicle upon any street except in order to cross the roadway.
D. 
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be found guilty of a summary offense and be sentenced to pay a fine of $25, plus court costs.
