Primary elections for the nominations of all elective village offices of the Village of Johnson City, Broome County, New York, shall be held and conducted in the fall of each year coincident with the general and fall primaries held in accordance with and as provided by the Election Law of the State of New York or any amendments to said Election Law changing or varying the date or dates of general fall primaries.
This Article shall be submitted at a special election for the purposes aforesaid to be held on the first day of August 1944 between the hours of 12:00 noon and 9:00 p.m. in the evening of said day.

The annual election in the Village of Johnson City for the election of all elective village offices shall be held and conducted in the fall of each year hereafter coincident with the general fall elections held in accordance with and as provided by the federal election laws and the Election Law of the State of New York or any amendments to said election laws changing or varying the date of general fall elections.
