Unless otherwise provided, the provisions of
this chapter shall not apply to baseball or football games or field
sports. There shall be no fee for amateur concerts, performances or
exhibitions or for performances, concerts or exhibitions given for
benevolent purposes.
It shall be unlawful to conduct baseball games
and moving picture shows, either free or for paid admission, before
1:00 p.m. on the first day of the week, within the village.
A.
License required. No person shall conduct in the village
any circus, menagerie, tent show or outdoor entertainment or any theatrical,
musical entertainment or moving picture performance or exhibition
or any public entertainment, concert or exhibition of natural or artificial
curiosities for which admission money is demanded or which is conducted
for gain or profit without first having obtained a license from the
Village Clerk.
B.
License fees. Any person applying for a license under
this section shall, at the time of making application therefor, pay
a fee as follows:

No person shall exhibit or conduct or cause
or procure to be exhibited or conducted out of doors, in tents or
in any other temporary structure any carnival, road show or similar
exhibition or performance or any show, exhibition, performance, concession
or refreshment stand in conjunction therewith unless the approval
by a simple majority of the Board of Trustees is first obtained; provided,
however, that this section shall not apply to a circus or wild west
show or to amateur performances or exhibitions.
A.
License required. It shall be unlawful for any person
to keep or conduct any billiard room, poolroom, bowling alley, shooting
gallery or similar place of amusement for money or hire without first
obtaining a license from the Village Clerk.
B.
License fees.
(1)
For each license for keeping or conducting a billiard
room or poolroom for money or hire, the license fee shall be five
dollars ($5.), plus one dollar ($1.) per table each year.
(2)
For each license for keeping or conducting a shooting
gallery, bowling alley or similar place of amusement for money or
hire, the license fee shall be five dollars ($5.), plus one dollar
($1.) per alley each year.
A.
No person shall conduct a public bowling alley in
the village between 1:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. in the morning on any
weekday except that such public bowling alley shall close at 12:00
midnight on Saturdays and Sundays.
B.
It shall be unlawful to conduct or participate in
games of bowling on Sunday before 1:00 p.m. and to participate in
or witness games for which an admission or other fee may or may not
be charged.
It shall be unlawful for any person holding
a license to operate a billiard room to suffer or permit any minor
under the age of eighteen (18) years to enter or remain in such billiard
room or place unless accompanied by his or her parent or legally appointed
guardian or by a supervisor of children's recreational activities.
