Officers and employees — See Ch. 24.
The benefits of § 18 of the Public Officers Law shall be benefits which are conferred upon officers and employees of the Village of LeRoy, New York, as such officers and employees are defined by § 18 of the Public Officers Law.
The Village of LeRoy, New York, shall be liable for all costs incurred under these provisions.
The Village of LeRoy, New York, be hereby authorized and empowered to buy a suitable policy of insurance from any insurance company created by or under the laws of this state or authorized by law to transact business in this state against any liability imposed by the provisions of § 18 of the Public Officers Law and the enactment of this chapter.
Sections 8-1 and 8-2 of this chapter shall not take effect until such time as the Village of LeRoy, New York, has received notification that such insurance policy is in full force and effect within the Village of LeRoy, New York.
