Editor's Note: This local law also provided for the repeal of former
Ch. 245, Games of Chance, adopted 8-7-1984 by L.L. No. 3, approved 8-28-1984,
as Ch. 58 of the 1984 Code.
It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, upon obtaining a
license as provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, to conduct
games of chance within the City of Kingston subject to the provisions of this
chapter, Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and the New York State Racing
and Wagering Board.
Conduct of games of chance on Sunday is only permitted when it specifically
provided for in the license issued. No games of chance shall be conducted
on Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur.
The Clerk of the City of Kingston shall exercise control over and supervision
of all games of chance.
