Amusement devices and arcades — See Ch. 104.
No person, firm, group, association or organization whatsoever shall operate or conduct any game of chance as the same is defined in the Bingo Licensing Law, N.J.S.A. 5:8-24 et seq., and the Raffles Licensing Law, N.J.S.A. 5:8-50 et seq., or as both may hereafter be amended and supplemented, without first obtaining a license therefor from the Board of Commissioners of the City of Bordentown, which license shall be issued to bona fide organizations or associations of veterans of any war in which the United States has been engaged, churches or religious congregations and religious organizations, charitable, educational and fraternal organizations, civic and service clubs, senior citizen associations and clubs, officially recognized volunteer fire companies and officially recognized volunteer first aid or rescue squads, pursuant to and subject to the provisions of both of the aforementioned statutes and the rules and regulations of the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission of the State of New Jersey.
Whenever a licensee is issued a license to conduct games of bingo on Saturdays of each week and such a Saturday shall fall upon January 1, December 24, December 25 or December 31 in any given year and such games are not conducted on such a Saturday by the licensee or on any other Saturday, such licensee may, upon approval by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Bordentown, be issued a special license for a Sunday; provided, however, that the games on Sunday shall be commenced at 12:01 a.m. and shall begin immediately following any regularly licensed and conducted Saturday evening games.
