It shall be unlawful for any person, whether an adult or a minor, to operate a pedalcycle within the limits of the Borough of Milton without first having had such pedalcycle registered and licensed as herein provided.
It shall be unlawful for the owner of a pedalcycle to operate or to allow or permit anyone else to operate their pedalcycle within the limits of the Borough of Milton without first having had such pedalcycle registered and licensed as herein provided.
All pedalcycles owned and operated in the Borough of Milton shall be registered and licensed by the Police Department of the Borough of Milton, which license shall be issued by the Police Department only if such pedalcycle conforms to the standards and contains the accessories as provided in Section 3507 of P.L. 162, dated June 17, 1976.[1]

After a pedalcycle has been duly registered and licensed as provided herein, said pedalcycle shall be subject to inspection at any time and said license may be revoked at any time by the Police Department of the Borough of Milton upon conviction of any offense as prohibited by this chapter or upon such pedalcycle failing to meet the standards and requirements as contained in Section 3507 of P.L. 162, dated June 17, 1976.[1]

Fees for registration and licensing shall not exceed the actual cost of the license plates and clerical work required.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter is guilty of a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $10 plus costs of prosecution. First time offenders will be issued a warning. Subsequent offenders will be issued a citation for the offense.
