City of Monessen, PA Article I Collection Agency

[Adopted 10-21-1998 by Ord. No. 13-1998]

§ 20-1 Authorization of agency to take action.

The City of Monessen, upon an enactment, hereby authorizes a designated collection agency, its agents and attorneys, to take any and all necessary legal action to recover the following delinquent accounts upon notice by Council:

A. Permit fees.

B. Machine licensing fees.

C. Garbage collection fees.

D. Parking tickets.

E. Miscellaneous other such accounts of whatever kind not previously contracted to Central Tax of Pennsylvania, Inc.

§ 20-2 Collection of costs and fees.

In addition to those underlying accounts, the designated collection agency is authorized to collect the reasonable costs and fees associated with the collection activity and to collect the same for its own use.
