GENERAL REFERENCES

There shall be established and created a fire lane at all shopping plazas within the City of Monessen, and all vehicular parking within said fire lane shall be prohibited at all times.
Said fire lane shall be at least 10 feet in width and run parallel to and be situated immediately adjacent to the front of the building or sidewalk located in front of the building exceeding the entire length of the structure.
The fire lane shall be designated by painting white or yellow diagonal lines across said fire lane.
Signs indicating "No Parking - Fire Lane" are to be posted in such area at intervals of not less than 75 feet.
The sole responsibility and entire cost of creating and maintaining fire lanes and posting of appropriate signs is that of the shopping plaza owner.
Fire lanes are to be kept free and unobstructed at all times. No vehicular parking will be permitted within the fire lane at any time.
Any person who violates § 218-5 of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof in a summary proceeding before any District Justice having jurisdiction of such offense, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $300 or to undergo imprisonment not exceeding 90 days, or both.
