Nothing in this chapter or in the Fire Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court or any rights acquitted or liability incurred or any clause or causes of action acquitted or existing under any act or ordinance hereby repealed, nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.

Any person, firm or corporation who or which shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof in a summary proceeding before any District Justice having jurisdiction of such offense, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 or to undergo imprisonment not exceeding 90 days, or both. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed as a separate offense.
