Effective upon enactment, the City is hereby authorized to tow and remove abandoned vehicles situate within the City's streets, roads and rights-of-way. The City is hereby authorized to seek reimbursement from the owner or owners of the abandoned vehicle or vehicles in the amount of $125. Upon receiving said amount from the owner or owners of the abandoned vehicle or vehicles, the City shall retain $50 for the City's time and expenses in removing said vehicle or vehicles. Also, upon receiving said amount of $125, the City, in addition to any reimbursements provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, shall pay said tower the sum of $75 for each vehicle removed.
This chapter shall not be inconsistent with any other ordinance previously adopted and shall only apply to those vehicles removed from City streets, roads and rights-of-way.
