Following the effective date of this article, it shall be unlawful to park, or allow to be parked, any motor vehicle or other vehicle on any street or road or within that street or road right-of-way which is part of the Township system after the start of a snowfall and until plowed for the full width of the cartway.
Any member of the Potter Township Police Department, or any employee of Potter Township engaged in road work, is hereby authorized to have impounded any vehicle abandoned or parking upon any public highway or street in violation of the terms and provisions of this article and to take any said vehicle to the designated impound area. The registered owner of any said vehicle shall be promptly notified in writing of the fact of the removal and of the place to which said vehicle has been removed, where he may obtain the same upon payment of any and all towing and storage charges. Neither the Township nor any of its officers or employees shall be held responsible for any damage to any vehicle occurring as a result of towing, impound and storage of a vehicle parked in violation of this article.
Any private drive in the Township of Potter will only be plowed or ashed by the Township of Potter when designated in emergency situations to do so by the Township Emergency Coordinator or his designee.
It shall be unlawful to throw, shovel or otherwise move, pile or dump snow or ice removal from sidewalks, driveways or other areas into roads, streets or rights-of-way.

A. 
General enforcement provisions.
(1) 
Any person who violates any provision of this article shall be subject to all of the following:
(a) 
Shall be guilty of a summary criminal offense.
(b) 
Shall, upon conviction, pay the criminal penalty specified in Subsection B.
(c) 
Shall, upon conviction, be subject to imprisonment specified in Subsection C.
(2) 
Each day that a violation is continued shall constitute a separate offense.
B. 
The criminal penalty for a violation of this article shall be as follows:
(1) 
For a first offense, a sum not less than $100 nor more than $300.
(2) 
For a second or subsequent offense, a sum of not less than $200 nor more than $500.
C. 
The penalty of imprisonment for a violation of this article shall be as follows:
(1) 
For a first offense, a period not more than five days.
(2) 
For a second or subsequent offense, a period not more than 10 days.
