In order to ensure the proper training of the members of the Prospect Park Fire Company, it is mandatory that the members of said company between the ages of 16 and 18 years attend at least 17 weeks of fire-fighting school under the supervision of the Active Association of the Prospect Park Fire Company.
The fire training schools recognized by the Borough for the attending of said members shall include the Delaware County Fire School and/or the Pennsylvania State Fire School.
As an additional requirement of the continued membership of members in this age group, it is mandatory that all members between ages 16 and 18 years shall have working papers.

No member of the Prospect Park Fire Company under the age of 18 years is entitled to drive any piece of fire-fighting equipment owned by the Borough of Prospect Park.

A. 
Fire company recognized. The Prospect Park Fire Company, organized and existing in the Borough of Prospect Park, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, is hereby designated as the officially recognized fire company for the Borough.
B. 
Authorized activities of the fire company.
(1) 
The fire company recognized by the Borough is hereby authorized to provide such services to the Borough as may be necessary for the protection of property and persons situate herein, which include, by way of example and not of limitation, the extinguishment and prevention of loss of life and property from fire, automobile accidents, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents and other dangerous situations.
(2) 
The company may also provide nonemergency and public service functions, such as, again by way of example and not of limitation, removing water from property after storms and assisting in the removal, abatement and prevention of damage or injury to persons or property, whether through natural causes or man-made situations.
(3) 
The company may also conduct and participate in such training activities and drills, either within or outside of the Borough, as may be deemed necessary by the officers of the company to maintain proficiency in providing service.
C. 
Authorized activities of members. In addition to actually participating in the activities of the fire company as authorized above or in going to or returning from any activity, the members of the fire company recognized by the Borough are also authorized to do the following things:
(1) 
Engage in any type of drill, training, ceremony, practice, test or parade when duly called for or authorized by an officer or officers of the fire company;
(2) 
Engage in fund-raising activities for the fire company, when authorized by an officer or officers of the fire company;
(3) 
Engage in the performance of any other duty or activity consistent with the other provisions of this section authorized by any officer of the recognized fire company.
D. 
Purpose. The purpose of this section is to recognize the fire company as the official fire company of the Borough, and to state additional authorized activities for fire fighters for workmen's compensation purposes.
