Sidewalks shall be installed in all parking
areas in excess of 100 stalls and in locations determined by the approving
authority to be in the interest of public safety considering the probable
volume of pedestrian traffic, the adjoining street classification,
school bus stops, the development's location in relation to other
populated areas, and the general type of improvement intended. Where
required, sidewalks shall be at least four feet wide and located as
approved by the approving authority. Sidewalks shall be placed upon
a compacted subgrade overlain with at least three inches of porous
material such as sand or gravel. Concrete sidewalks shall be at least
four inches thick, except at points of vehicular crossings where they
shall be at least six inches thick, of Class B concrete having a twenty-eight-day
compressive strength of 4,000 psi, and shall be air-entrained. Sidewalks
of blacktop or other approved materials shall be constructed as approved
by the approving authority upon the advice of the Township Engineer.
Where sidewalks cross curbings, curb ramps shall be provided.
All driveways shall conform to the regulations of Chapter 167, Driveways.

Sight triangles shall be provided at the intersection
of all driveways leading to and exiting from the site. These sight
triangles shall be measured along the curbline of both the driveway
and the intersecting street. The sight triangle shall be limited by
a point measured 30 feet along the curbline of the driveway from the
roadway curbline and a point on the intersecting roadway curbline
which shall be located from the near curbline of the intersecting
driveway in accordance with the following table:

The sight triangle shall be clear of any obstructions
from 20 inches above the center-line grade to a point 120 inches above

be permitted, provided that they do not create a safety hazard. An
easement dedication to the owner of the intersecting roadway incorporating
the entire sight triangle within the site but outside the right-of-way
line shall be made.
Bikeways may use required depending on the development's
location in relation to schools, recreation areas, shopping facilities
and other populated areas. Bicycle traffic shall be separated from
motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic as much as possible. Bikeways
shall generally not exceed a grade of 3%, except for short distances,
and shall be a minimum of six feet wide. Bikeways shall have a minimum
four-inch base of crushed stone with a two-inch FABC-2 surface course.
Where bike paths intersect a street, the curbing shall be ramped for
access to the street grade.
