The Planning and Zoning Commission may, on its own motion, or
on the recommendation of the Board of Selectmen, or on petition of
one or more property owners within the Town, amend these regulations
in accordance with Chapter 126 of the General Statutes.
Applications for amendment shall be submitted in a form prescribed
by the Commission, shall be written in clear and precise language,
and shall be accompanied by an explanation of the consistency of the
proposed amendment with the adopted Town Plan and the public health,
safety and welfare.
Amendments shall only be adopted after a public hearing has
been held and legal notices have been published as prescribed by the
statutes and approved by the Commission.
Amendments shall become effective at such time as is fixed by
the Commission.
