The Code Enforcement Officer of the City of Norwich, or any person appointed to act in such capacity, when enforcing the New York State Uniform Fire and Building Code Act,[1] or any local law or ordinance which shall provide for enforcement by the Code Enforcement Officer of the City of Norwich shall, pursuant to § 10, Subdivision 4(a), of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York, have the authority to issue an appearance ticket, as provided for under § 150.10 of the Criminal Procedure Law of the State of New York, for any violation associated with such local law or ordinance.[2]
