Boundaries of the the City of Kingston are as follows:
All that district in the County of Ulster, comprised within the following
boundaries, to wit: Beginning at a point in the center line of the
Esopus Creek where the same is intersected by the northerly line of
the one-hundred-foot-wide right-of-way of the Catskill Mountain Branch
of the New York Central Railroad and running thence southeasterly
along the northerly right-of-way line a distance of three hundred
eight and twenty-nine hundredths feet to a point, thence North thirteen
degrees thirty-four minutes West a distance of one thousand sixty-five
and ninety-six hundredths feet to a point of curvature, thence successively
in a general northerly, easterly and southerly direction on a curve
to the right having a radius of six hundred ten feet, an arc distance
of one thousand eight hundred forty-three and sixty-two hundredths
feet, more or less, to a point of tangency, said curve being subtended
by a chord having a bearing of South seventy-three degrees one minute
West and a length of one thousand two hundred seventeen and eighty-three
hundredths feet; thence South twenty degrees four minutes East four
hundred ninety-one and twenty-nine hundredths feet to its intersection
with the northwest right-of-way line of the New York Thruway, thence
northeasterly along said right-of-way line on a curve to the right
having a radius of seven thousand seven hundred eighty-six and forty-four
hundredths feet, an arc distance of three hundred eight feet to the
center of the Esopus Creek, thence along the center line of Esopus
Creek as it now exists a distance of ten thousand eight hundred feet,
more or less, to a point in the boundary line between the lands, now
or formerly of Christopher L. Kiersted and Cornelius M. Van Leuven,
bounding on the south by the road that formerly led to the house of
Christopher L. Kiersted and runs thence South fifty-one degrees forty-six
minutes East seven thousand four hundred forty-four and eighty hundredths
feet to Flatbush Avenue, thence easterly in a straight line to the
most northerly corner of the base of the chimney of the lime mill
erected by Elihu Brown, on the lands formerly of A. A. Denman; thence
in a straight line at right angles with the channel of the Hudson
River to the middle thereof, being the easterly bounds of the County
of Ulster; thence southerly along said bounds to the bounds of the
Town of Esopus; thence up along the said bounds of the Town of Esopus,
through the middle of the channel of the Rondout Creek as it now exists,
to a point directly opposite the easterly end of where Lawrence's
dock once stood, thence north-easterly in a straight line to the middle
of Esopus Creek, thence easterly along the center line of Esopus Creek
to the point of intersection of the center line of Esopus Creek and
the northerly right-of-way line of the Catskill Mountain Branch of
the New York Central Railroad, which is the point of beginning, containing
five thousand five hundred twenty-one acres more or less, all bearings
being referred to true North.
The area this enclosed shall be known as the
"City of Kingston" and the citizens of this state, from time to time
inhabitants within the aforesaid limits, shall be a corporate and
politic by the name of the "City of Kingston," and as such shall have
the rights, powers and privileges conferred by the statutes of this
state upon corporation as well as those conferred by this act, which
shall be known as the Charter of said city.

said point being the Southeasterly corner of lands of Church of the
Immaculate Conception; 1) Thence from said point of beginning along
the Northwesterly bounds of Kingston-Ulster Landing Road (Route 32)
the following courses and distances; South 54 degrees 46 minutes 05
seconds West, 55.97 feet to a concrete monument; 2) Thence South 41
degrees 32 minutes 45 seconds West, 164.98 feet to a concrete monument;
3) Thence South 18 degrees 14 minutes 05 seconds West, 35.82 feet
to a concrete monument; 4) Thence along the Northeasterly bounds of
East Chester Street Extension (U.S. Route 9W) the following courses
and distances, North 85 degrees 27 minutes 35 seconds West, 176.04
feet to a concrete monument; 5) Thence North 50 degrees 28 minutes
04 seconds West, 272.42 feet to a concrete monument; 6) Thence North
64 degrees 02 minutes 45 seconds West, 140.50 feet to a point; 7)
Thence leaving said highway and along lands of now or formerly New
York State, North 4 degrees 53 minutes 35 seconds East, 172.65 feet
to a point; 8) Thence along the Southerly bounds of lands of Church
of the Immaculate Conception the following courses and distances,
South 84 degrees 37 minutes 55 seconds East, 358.90 feet to a recovered
pin; 9) Thence South 51 degrees 40 minutes 25 seconds East, 106.30
feet to a recovered monument; 10) Thence South 72 degrees 45 minutes
