[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Newfield 8-10-1976 by Ord. No. 76-6 (Ch. 83 of the 1991 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BUSINESS
Any individual, partnership and/or corporation which sells goods, services and/or any other commodity, either directly or indirectly, to the public.
The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Newfield hereby establish a procedure to be followed by any and all businesses wishing to locate in the Borough of Newfield:
A. 
All businesses shall complete an application form provided them by the Borough Council.
B. 
The application shall be submitted, along with a filing fee of $25 to the Mayor and Council.

C. 
No business shall begin operation until approval of the Mayor and Council.
Any business that violates this chapter shall pay a maximum fine of $2,000 per day for each and every day that the violation continues, be subject to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, and/or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days.
