[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Montgomery 8-4-1992 by L.L. No. 2-1992. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The purpose of this chapter is to authorize designated public servants of the Village of Montgomery to issue and serve appearance tickets in connection with the violations of state statutes, local laws or rules and regulations of the Village of Montgomery.
The following public servants of the Village of Montgomery are hereby designated and authorized to issue and serve appearance tickets with respect to violations of state statutes, local laws, rules or regulations of the Village that such designated public servants are respectively required or authorized to enforce:

Enforcement Area
Building Inspector
New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, Zoning Law, Subdivision Regulations and all other building, zoning and planning regulations and all laws, rules and regulations relating to the health, safety or welfare of the occupants of any building[1]
Superintendent of Streets
All local laws, rules and regulations of the Village of Montgomery regarding the use or maintenance of Village streets and sidewalks and garbage collection[2]
Fire Inspector
[Added 3-2-1993 by L.L. No. 1-1993]
New York State Uniform Fire Prevention Code and all state or local laws relating to fire prevention and safety, as well as related parking restrictions enacted for firesafety purposes.[3]

An appearance ticket shall be served personally.
A copy of the appearance ticket, accompanied by an affidavit of service, shall be delivered to the Village Justice Court Clerk prior to the appearance date.
