The inhabitants of the Town of Standish, Maine, within the limits as now established or as hereafter established in the manner provided by law, shall be a municipal corporation by the name of the Town of Standish.
The town shall have all powers possible for a municipality to have under the Constitution and laws of Maine. The powers of the town under this Charter shall be construed liberally in favor of the town, and the specific mention of particular powers in the Charter shall not be construed as limiting in any way the general power stated in this Article.
The town may exercise any of its powers or perform any of its functions and may participate in the financing thereof, jointly or in cooperation, by contract or otherwise, with any one (1) or more state or civil divisions or agencies thereof, or of the United States of America or any agency thereof.
