The Board of Commissioners hereby expresses its intention to organize and incorporate a municipal authority for Bethlehem Township in accordance with the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended,[1] immediately after the effective date of this article.

The name of the proposed authority will be the "Bethlehem Township Municipal Authority."
The Authority will be organized and incorporated for the purpose of acquiring, holding, constructing, improving, maintaining and operating, owning, leasing, either in the capacity of lessor or lessee, projects of the following kind and character: public school buildings and their appurtenances, highways, parking spaces, parkways, parks, recreation grounds and facilities, sewers, sewer systems or parts thereof, playgrounds, tunnels and bridges.

The members of the board of the Authority shall be seven in number, each of whom shall be a citizen of the Township of Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, and the following named persons shall be and are appointed as the members of the Authority for the following revised terms of office:

The term of existence of Bethlehem Township Municipal Authority shall be for a period ending on December 31, 2000.
