The Township of Bethlehem is hereby reapportioned into four wards as set forth on the map which is attached hereto and made part hereof[1] and which sets forth the new boundaries of Ward One, Ward Two, Ward Three, and Ward Four of the Township of Bethlehem.

The boundaries of Ward One, Ward Two, Ward Three, and Ward Four of the Township of Bethlehem are described by reference to clearly visible physical features conforming with census block lines from the 2010 federal decennial census, as more fully set forth in Exhibit A,[1] attached hereto and made a part hereof.

The boundaries of Ward One, Ward Two, Ward Three, and Ward Four of the Township of Bethlehem are also described by reference to the census blocks from the 2010 federal decennial census for Pennsylvania, Northampton County, Bethlehem Township, as more fully described in Exhibit B,[1] attached hereto and made a part hereof.

In the event of any conflict in the designation of the boundaries of the four wards of the Township of Bethlehem as set forth on the map incorporated in § 70-1, in the descriptions set forth in § 70-2, and in the designation of census blocks set forth in § 70-3, the descriptions set forth in § 70-2 shall control.
For the purpose of the election of the members of the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Bethlehem, this chapter shall be effective beginning with the municipal elections in 2017.
For the purpose of the election of constables who are elected by ward in the Township of Bethlehem, this chapter shall be effective beginning with the municipal elections in 2017.
