(a) 
No driver of a motor vehicle shall fail to bring such motor vehicle to a full stop within a reasonable distance before entering the intersection of two or more lanes of traffic on a parking lot or drive, or on an access road thereto, adjacent to any school, apartment, hospital, church, rest home, shopping center, commercial building or other building open to the public, when a "Stop" sign has been erected in accordance with this section.
(b) 
Subsection (a) hereof shall become effective in those areas that are, from time to time, specifically designated by resolution of the Board of Supervisors and upon the passage thereof. Official signs shall be erected by the Township to give notice of the prohibition.
