A code regulating hotels, restaurants, cafes, public eating houses and food and beverage vending machines, the issuance of permits and providing penalties for the violation thereof is hereby adopted pursuant to Chapter 188, P.L. 1950 (N.J.S.A. 26:3-69.1 to 69.6), to aid in the enforcement of laws as to the adulteration of all kinds of food and drink.
The code established and adopted by this chapter is described and commonly known as the Retail Food Establishments and Food and Beverage Vending Machines Code of New Jersey, N.J.S.A. 8:24-1 et seq. A copy of the code is annexed hereto and made a part hereof without the inclusion of the text thereof herein.
A copy of the code has been placed on file in the office of the Secretary of the Board of Health upon the introduction of this chapter and will remain on file in the office for the use and examination of the public.
A. 
No person, persons, firms or corporations shall operate a hotel, restaurant, cafe, public eating house or food or beverage vending machine until a permit for the operation shall have been issued by the Board of Health.
B. 
The Board of Health shall issue permits for the calendar year from January 1 through December 31 of the year requested.
C. 
All inspections shall be under the jurisdiction of the County Health Officer for the Township Board of Health.
The fee for the issuance of the permit shall be $105. The fee shall be waived for all nonprofit corporations, such as fire companies, rescue squads, churches, etc.
A. 
Any person or persons, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of or any order promulgated under this chapter or the code made a part hereof shall, upon conviction thereof be liable to the penalty stated in Chapter 350, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty.
B. 
Each day a particular violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
