A.
Any person violating any of the provisions of Articles IV and V, with the exception of § 145-34, shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $300 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days and to have his vehicle impounded, provided that payment of the amount of the fine set forth in the notice to the office of the Mayor (see Subsection C below) or deposit of the same amount in the courtesy box, within the time limit and under the circumstances provided by § 145-36 of this chapter, shall save from prosecution any person making such payments.

B.
Any person who violates any provision of § 145-34 or Article II of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days.

Parking violations and fines.

The fines for parking violations are as follows:
(a)
Overparked parking meter: $7.
(b)
Not parked within lines: $10.
(c)
Double-parked: $10.
(d)
Parked against traffic: $15.
(e)
Parked on sidewalk: $10.
(f)
Parked at fireplug: $20.
(g)
Parked between 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Wednesday and Friday:
$25.

(h)
Not parked head in: $15.
(i)
Parked where official signs erected: $20.
(j)
Parked within 30 feet upon the approach to a stop sign: $20.
(k)
Parked in a no-parking zone: $15.
(l)
Parked in a tow-away zone: $75 plus costs of towing.
(m)
Except for persons parking vehicles lawfully bearing a handicapped
or severely disabled veteran registration plate or displaying a handicapped
or severely disabled veteran parking placard when such vehicles are
being operated by or for the transportation of a handicapped person
or severely disabled veteran, no person shall park a vehicle on public
or private property in a space reserved for a handicapped person or
severely disabled veteran, which property has been so posted in accordance
with Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicle regulations: $150 plus
cost of towing.
(n)
Any other parking violation set forth in Borough ordinances:
$20.

There will be an additional fine in the amount of the fine for the
original violation for each additional hour the vehicle remains in
violation of parking regulations.
(3)
If any fine set forth above is not paid within 48 hours of the time
when notice of violation was given or attached to the vehicle, then
there shall be an additional fine of $20.

D.
Unless another penalty is expressly provided by the Vehicle Code (75 Pa.C.S.A. § 101 et seq.) every person convicted of a violation of Article I, Article III, Article VI and Article VII of this Chapter 145, or any supplement thereto, shall be sentenced to pay of fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution, and in default of payment of fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days.

A.
All previous ordinances of the Borough of Ligonier pertaining to
the regulation of traffic and parking are hereby repealed.
B.
The repeal of ordinances provided for in Subsection A above shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or liability incurred in violation of any ordinance or regulation in force immediately prior to the taking effect of this chapter.
C.
The provisions of this chapter, insofar as they are the same as those
of ordinances and regulations in force immediately prior to the enactment
of this chapter, are intended as a continuation of such ordinances
and regulations and not as new enactments.
