All fire alarm systems that transmit a signal to any emergency
dispatch center, whether directly or indirectly, shall be approved
by the Fire District Chief prior to the time of their installation.

Any alarm system that transmits more than one false signal to
an emergency dispatch center during the past year shall be subject
to a fine of not less than $150 and not more than $250. If the alarm
is a false fire alarm, the fine shall be turned over to the Fire District
involved for reimbursement for services rendered.

Editor's Note: This local law was readopted 12-29-2008 by
L.L. No. 11-2008.
Any new fire alarm installation shall have a ninety-day grace
period to correct any malfunctions that may involve the system.
